Josephs' Tomb: "This holy Muslim site!"

Apparently, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas believes Joseph was a "holy Muslim" and referred to "both the shrine andthe biblical patriarch as 'Muslim'". If that's so, then why have the Muslims been attacking the tomb for decades?.

Should these people who blasphemed one of Allah's prophets, by destroying his tomb, be put to death according to Islam?

"We are going to guardthis holy Muslim site," he said. Has it ever been considered holy byMuslims before? Is this the first time it's been designated as holy? He says he going "to find out who was behind the fire". While that happens the world is waiting to see if all the Muslims will take to the streets, smash cars, demand the death penalty for insulting Allah's "holy muslim" (a blasphemy), just like Michelle Gibbons experienced when naming a stuffed teady bear Mohammed.

Palestinians Burn Joseph's Tomb

We have seen for months now that it is a sin in Islam to defame anything associated with Allah's prophets. Mohammed acknowledged and adopted both the OT and NT prophets. Joseph is an Old Testament prophet. Joseph's tomb is the third most holy site in Judaism. If Joseph is also prophet of Allah, wouldn't this be the same as defaming one of Islam's holy sites? Shouldn't these people who blasphemed one of God's prophets by destroying his tomb be put to death according to Islam?

Bible refresher:

Many people do not know their Bibles, and tragically, neither do most Muslims. And it's far more easier to read than the Koran. The language is simple and direct, and it's almost entirely chronological in its historical narrative.

What makes a Prophet? Did you know that Abraham is called a prophet?

Genesis 20:7 [God speaking to Pharaoh] "Now therefore, restore the man's wife, for he is a prophet, and hewill pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours."

The story of Joseph is definitely worth familiarizing yourself with; it's one of the best stories in the Old Testament.

Re: Joseph's stature as a prophet.

Joseph is definitely a prophet for the same reason as Daniel is considered a prophet: they both received "prophetic dreams" (i.e., events of the future) . Joseph gave God the glory for this and so did Daniel. Better yet. So did pagan Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar in both instances, which is very important. Both acknowledged that the god of Joseph and Daniel ordains, controls, and directs the events of men and history.

Genesis 41:15-16Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I have had a dream, but no one can interpretit; and I have heard it said about you, that when you hear a dream youcan interpret it."
Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, " It is not in me; God will givePharaoh a favorable answer."

Genesis 41:38Then Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find a man like this, inwhom is a divine spirit?"

So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you are.
Comparisons of Daniel the prophet:

Nebuchadnezzar later acknowledges that the god of Daniel is the only true God because of the abilitites to understand his dreams and tell of things that will come to pass. Both Daniel and Joseph are interpreters of dreams and both world rulers at the time acknowledge the god of Israel.

Daniel 4:34"But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyestoward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the MostHigh and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion isan everlasting dominion,And His kingdom endures from generation togeneration.

Daniel 4:37"Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humblethose who walk in pride."

God (Allah according to Muslims) raised Joseph up to "save many lives", the entire egyptian nation, as well as the 72 Jews in the story, of which many should thank God if they can trace their ancestry back as egyptian and Jewish. They may not be here today if it were not for Joseph. Both Muslim and Jews should be celebrating the work God did through the life Joseph, and should be modelling his behavior.

Back to the original question:

Mohammed acknowledged and adopted both the OT and NT prophets. Joseph is an Old Testament prophet. If Joseph is a prophet of Allah, wouldn't this be the same as defaming one of Islam's holy sites?

Shouldn't these people who blasphemed one of Allah's prophets by destroying his tomb be put to death according to Islam?

Where are the screaming Muslims demanding demanding the blood of these Muslims? Instead we have another eerie silence throughout the Islamic world.

We at Sharia vs Inalienable Rights are
not calling for the death penalty for vandalism. Vandalism carries its own penalties under the Bible called "restitution". Under the Old Testament Law, a person had to restore fore-fold--either for stealing or destorying another's personal property. The cutting off of a hand for theft is not in the Bible. However, restitution is the punishment for theft.

Sharia vs Inalienable rights is calling Muslim leaders to hold those responsible accountable for their actions and restore the damages--either through monetary restitution or manual labor. Love God with all your strength and mind, and your neighbor as yourself. This fulfills the Law and the Prophets.

A New Form of Plundering: Welfare for Polygamous Unions

Mumtaz Ali, president of the Canadian Society of Muslims doesn't seem to mind violating the 8th, and 9th Commandments through the means of socialized welfare. He seems to know little about the social ramifications of how God's law is supposed to protect the rights of the individuals, not plunder them. But first, let's remember that Islam started with raiding parties that plundered, kidnapped, raped, and sold into slavery their captives. Arabs were notoriously known before Mohammed for subsisting via raiding parties. Mohammed simply codified and canonized their age-0ld practice of breaking the 8th, 9th, and 10th Commandments, to grow and subsidize his new religion. He arose as a "Prophet" and immediately began to violate the Ten Commandments. Plundering has continued through the history of Islam, and it has taken many forms thoughout its history. But today there is a very easy way for Muslims to plunder their neighbor's wealth, without ever drawing the Scimitar from its sheath. It's called Socialism.

"Hundreds of GTA Muslim men in polygamous marriages -- some with a harem of wives -- are receiving welfare and social benefits for each of their spouses, thanks to the city and province, Muslim leaders say." Toronto
