Look at the Numbers: For Statistical Analysis

One point I'd like to make is the sheer number based on percentages:

  • 0.700 billion or more, Barnes & Noble Encyclopedia 1993
  • 0.817 billion, The Universal Almanac (1996)
  • 0.951 billion, The Cambridge Factfinder (1993)
  • 1.100 billion, The World Almanac (1997)
  • 1.200 billion, CAIR (Council on American-Islamic relations)
If the Islamic population is one billion, and if just 1% of that number were willing to follow Osama Bin Ladin, Hamas, or Hezbollah, that would be 10 million people. That number is larger than any standing army today!

Now, let's say the number of people who were actually willing to do something like 9/11 or the London Subway Bombings were only half of one percent of 1 billion. It is still a hugely significant number. That's 5 million willing to wage deadly Jihad.

Now given that number, and given the teachings of Mohammed (especially in his farewell speech), I"m not surprised when Yahoo announced the findings of their survey that one in four 4 American Muslims believe it's justifiable in some cases to perform a suicide attack for their religion.

In my April blog , I made the case that Islam is an expansionist, revolutionary ideology, with the goal to chip away at the nations until all men submit to Allah and his prophet.

I was ordered to fight all men until they say, 'There is no god but Allah.'"
Mohammed's farewell address, March 632 A.D.

Remember, says George Grant, "every scrap of land, every person, every tribe, and every country currently under Muslim dominion was forcibly conquered and brought into submission--which probably should not surprise us since 'submission' is actually the meaning of the word 'Islam'."
